Dr Filomena Bua is a senior practitioner who has been practicing as a registered psychologist for over 35 years. She has extensive qualifications and experience supporting people with their psychological needs. She uses a variety of evidenced based therapeutic approaches and works collaboratively with each client in order to tailor an approach that best meets their individual unique needs. Dr Bua’s work is exemplary in her professionalism, respectfulness and commitment to the field. The primary focus of her therapeutic work with clients is to enhance their capabilities, develop new perspectives, encourage wellbeing and promote psychological recovery. 

Another major focus of Dr Bua’s work involves education and training. She is an AHPRA board approved supervisor and provides primary or secondary supervision for psychology interns to assist them acquire their registration. 

Finally, Dr Bua has particular passion and expertise in disaster management, emergency response and first responder wellbeing. As such she has worked and participated in many major International, Australian National, and State wide critical incident recovery efforts. She an accredited facilitator in these subjects matters and has also conducted many workshops for various organisations.
