Master of Speech Pathology

Michael is a certified practicing speech pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia. Michael completed his Master of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University in 2019, and has been with Change for Life since 2020.

Prior to this, Michael worked as a primary-school teacher, and acquired degrees in Psychology and Philosophy.

Taking a non-prescriptivist, and non-reductive approach to therapy, Michael seeks to collaborate with clients and families towards a jointly-constructed interpretation of communication problems and their treatment. Each client possesses his or her own norms regarding communication, which are based on their own subjective experience, and is these norms, rather than societal or assumed norms, which Michael attempts to work towards with his clients.
